The foundational philosophy of the Korean Bible University is based on the spiritual teaching of the Milal Spirit of which Jesus exemplified himself in John 12:24. The Milal Spirit (dying to self) teaches that those who have been born again by believing in Jesus Christ as their personal savior will die to themselves and bring forth abundant fruits. In like manner Christians should die to their own interests and follow Jesus to serve their society and mankind.
The Korean Bible University, by offering biblical instructions, trains interdenominational Christian leaders to accomplish the Great Commission of Christ. The University adheres to the cardinal Christian faith which is grounded on the fundamental doctrines of the Bible. It rejects the liberal, humanistic, secular, materialistic and pluralistic Christianity of our days.
The Korean Bible University seeks to foster in its students a firm Christian character and a sound intellectual appreciation of biblical truths and their continuing relevance. Thus, it seeks to transform each student into a spiritual worker who, like wheat which falls into the ground and brings forth new life, will carry the Word of God into the world.
The Korean Bible University is dedicated to training that new breed of evangelical leader which is so desperately needed as we face the new millennium.
In order to successfully achieve the stated goal, the University emphasizes the principles of Christian theology and their applications to human affairs. The Korean Bible University has dedicated itself to carrying on the spirit of Jesus Christ, who has accomplished the redemption of mankind.
Fired by the conviction that the Holy Spirit is at work throughout the church and human history, we seek to instill in our students a sense of doctrinal responsibility as they themselves pursue the ministry.
We believe that the Scripture, composed of 66 canonical texts, is the direct inspiration of God. It is authoritative in faith, practice, and the definition of relationships between God, universe, man, and all sound science.
All men are created according to the image of God, and therefore possess divine dignity. Humans should never be used as a means to an end for man¡¯s purposes, but rather, they should fulfill the will and work of God. Our university is dedicated to this truth in all educational activities and administration.
